    New Job!

The tallest building in this photo--the one with the spire--is the headquarters of the company where I'll be working as of next Wednesday: Conde Nast Publishing.

Out of the top 14 fashion magazines published in the United States, Conde Nast publishes 12 of them. In the fashion and publishing capitol of the world, I'll now be working at the top fashion publishing firm. This is going to be a New York experience.

Hmm, I'll have to read that book now ;) I'm going to be up there working with the Condescending Nasties, as they are sometimes called.

Veronica, I'll be helping to manage and improve Conde's online brands, most notably Epicurious, Concierge, and Style.com, as well as possibly the magazine websites.

What a wonderful job. I visit www.men.style.com quite often. I want to move to NYC as soon as I finish high school for college and to make my dreams of modeling a reality. I plan to go to NYU to major in both psychology and in some sort of communications/ journalism. I can't wait until the summer of 2009!!!! It'll be here before I know it, and then off to NYC I go. Great website by the way. I read it all, and it has like secured my plans of going!

    Hey Micheal,

After I finish my business degree at uni I would love to be working at Conde Nast too. Are there many jobs available on the business side of things? And how hard is it to get a job there?

Conde Nast was great. Jobs on the business side I'd say are about average for availability. Tech jobs are easy to get, and writing jobs are very hard to get. Business falls right about in the middle. Let us know how it goes!

BTW, I just launched a new site: www.gonetonewyork.com

I'll be migrating this site over there soon. Keep us posted on how you do in your Conde Nast hunt! Are you in NY already?
